ROUVY, TrainerRoad & More
VeloLoop's FIT activity files are compatible with most training platforms that accept standard FIT uploads. This page covers platforms not detailed elsewhere in the Help Centre.
Intervals.icu
Intervals.icu
- Intervals.icu accepts FIT file uploads directly
- You can also sync from a connected platform (Strava, Garmin Connect) and your VeloLoop rides will appear automatically once uploaded there
- All power-based metrics (TSS, IF, VI, power curve) are calculated from the VeloLoop data
- Upload: go to your Intervals.icu calendar, click the upload button, select the FIT file from Documents/VeloLoop/Rides
TrainerRoad
TrainerRoad
- TrainerRoad workouts can be exported as .erg files and imported into VeloLoop
- ERG files use absolute watts, so no FTP conversion is needed during import
- VeloLoop does not upload rides to TrainerRoad — use their own recording if you need activities on that platform
- You can run both apps simultaneously if you manage sensor connections carefully (ANT+ for one, BLE for the other)
ROUVY
ROUVY
- ROUVY is primarily a virtual cycling platform with augmented reality routes
- VeloLoop does not integrate with ROUVY's route system or video playback
- If ROUVY accepts FIT file uploads, you can upload your VeloLoop ride files manually
- For structured training, use VeloLoop independently alongside or instead of ROUVY
Golden Cheetah
Golden Cheetah
- Golden Cheetah is a free, open-source training analysis tool
- Import your VeloLoop FIT files directly into Golden Cheetah for detailed analysis
- All power, cadence and heart-rate data is preserved in the standard FIT format
Other platforms accepting FIT files
Most training platforms and analysis tools accept standard FIT activity files. If your platform has a "Upload activity" or "Import FIT" feature, your VeloLoop ride files should work. Set the activity type to "Indoor Cycling" or "Virtual Ride" if the platform asks.
- Files are in Documents/VeloLoop/Rides, named by date and time
- When enabled, VeloLoop includes estimated virtual distance and speed derived from power data — no GPS coordinates or elevation are recorded
- Power, cadence and heart rate are recorded at 1 Hz (one sample per second)
- Lap markers correspond to workout steps (for timed workouts) or one lap for the full ride
- If a platform rejects the file, check that you are uploading a .fit file and not a .csv sidecar
Platforms without integration
VeloLoop uses only officially documented, permitted integration methods. Some platforms do not offer public APIs or file-based import for third-party apps. In those cases, VeloLoop cannot provide direct integration. If your preferred platform adds FIT upload support in the future, your existing VeloLoop ride files will be ready to use.
